Black Girl Lost in Asia!

Or at least that’s what I plan to be 😉

Anyways, I thought it would be nice to write a more in-depth post about what type of person I am and what I enjoy doing. I have 1 brother and 3 sisters, we were born and raised in Boston, MA by my two, lovely Haitian parents. I was brought (by force) to live in Orlando a few years ago, and found it to be quite enjoyable, at least I am loving my college experience here in Tampa. I am pretty ambitious (sometimes too much!) and due to that I involve myself in way too many activites, classes, organizations and (crazy) schemes. I’m the founder and president of the Chinese Culture and Language Club, treasurer of another, and I am obssessed with getting A’s, (yes not A- I wrote A) so that means the end of every semester for me is a nightmare, but I get through it =)

My interest in Asian cultures began the summer of ’08 when my older sister showed us a Super Junior music video as a joke. We laughed, made fun, then went through all of their songs. To be honest, I’m not sure when we stopped laughing, but those songs kept getting played, and we became more and more enthralled. That boy group led to many others, then to other Asian (Chinese/Japanese/Thai) musicians. To top it off, at the end of that summer I saw the Beijing Olympics opening show and I was a goner. If loving it is wrong, I don’t want to be right!
