Romantic Chinese Proposal

Yesterday, some of the girls doing this language competition and I went out for coffee and girl talk. Of course the talk went straight to the only one among us engaged and planning to marry in the Spring, Ruth. As I mentioned before, she is famous for singing Chinese songs, and as it turns out, that’s how she met her fiance. They met during the Shanghai Expo at a hostel, talked for hours, but never exchanged numbers. Two months later, while doing a TV show, Ruth turned to the producers section and saw him there, they met again and from there started a deep friendship. Eventually they started dating, and two years later got engaged. I have heard so many horror stories about Chinese style proposals, where the guy basically asks, “So when’s a good time to get married?”

Well let me tell you, Ruth was one of the lucky girls, and handsome, tall Chinese man and his romantic proposal by clicking here. It’s pretty obvious what is going on, so I think the non-Chinese speakers out there can appreciate it as well. If you have any questions or want translations just let me know 🙂

Cute couple! The young man certainly knows how to propose to a lady! Wishing them both many, many, happy years together.
